Full ownership of Czech machinery dealer
Danish Agro, Vestjyllands Andel and Agravis gain full ownership of Agromex
Danish Agro and Vestjyllands Andel have joined forces via their joint venture DAVA Agravis International Holding A/S with German agribusiness group Agravis to acquire the remaining 50% shareholding in Agromex s.r.o. The shares were owned by Josef Sedivy, who has decided to sell due to his age. Agromex will become a subsidiary of the Danish Agro group.
Danish Agro's CEO, Christian Junker, is highly satisfied with the new acquisition:
- I am delighted that we arrived at a solution in which Agromex becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary. We have enjoyed a healthy and constructive partnership with the Sedivy family, which has built a strong, modern machinery dealership in the Czech Republic, says Junker and adds:
- We see a big potential in Agromex and the Czech machinery market, and want to coordinate our efforts and maximise synergies with our other machinery sales companies in Finland, Estonia and Poland to an even greater degree.
Agromex currently has six fully-modernised branches covering the whole of the Czech Republic. The company is one of the market leaders with prominent AGCO brands such as Fendt and Challenger.
There are 90 employees and turnover was EUR 30 million in 2014.
Head office is in the town of Modletice, close to Prague.
